The Worst President Of The Past 50 Years?
January 4, 2009
The series Intelligence Squared on NPR debated the motion of whether George Bush 43 is the worst U.S. president of the past 50 years. Karl Rove, who should be in prison, and William Kristol, who writes bush-league NYT columns (with errors aplenty), were given a platform to furrow lies.
I only listened in because I’m bored from overindulgence of NFL playoffs. I find the promotion of this debate ridiculous for America has already made up its mind; but interesting nonetheless. You can listen to the edited broadcast of the debate here.
P.S. I wasn’t around to watch how incompetently the Vietnam War was handled but I’m present to the enmity of Islamic peoples and, subsequently, the Iraq conflict. I would say the motion waved by NPR is certainly debatable; to me, the past eight years were unmitigated in indiscretion. I agree with the motion and am happy the American people gave themselves a second opportunity.
Epitaph From MacBeth; Narrowing Days For Bushrock

As “G.W. Bushrock” leaves the oval office for the last time he must consider the following Shakespearean quote:
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
Let us count down the days to Obama’s inauguration.
